2016 Citizen's Academy

2016 Citizen's Academy

In partnership with the Santa Barbara Sheriffs Office, we are excited to announce the start of the 2016 Citizen's Academy.  This academy is a great opportunity for community members to grow in their knowledge of public safety, civilian rights, emergency preparedness, as well as the history and policies of local law enforcement agencies.  Topics covered will include Search and Seizure Law, Active Shooter training, K9 Operations and much more!

Due to maximum capacity, applications are no longer being accepted for the upcoming Citizen’s Academy. We appreciate the great interest we received from students and residents who wanted to be part of this historic group. Future Citizen’s Academies are being planned  to allow more people to participate. Dates and locations will be announced  here on the Community Message Board in the near future.

The Citizen's Academy is free of charge.
