RAD Training

The UCSB Police Department is pleased to offer a cost-free training program known as “The Rape Aggression Defense System” (R.A.D.).  This nationally recognized, 12-hour, sexual assault awareness and prevention program is currently being offered to the campus community. The next R.A.D. course will be offered on the dates, times, and locations listed below. Community members are requested to register in advance for the course due to popular demand.

This interactive program focuses on both sexual assault awareness and education, while also offering self-defense techniques taught by certified instructors. 

All classes will take place from 5:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

The first class will be held at UCSB Police Department, building 574 and all other classes will be held at a location that will be shared with participants.

This is a single class that meets four nights for a total of 12 hours of training. The dates are listed below:

Tuesday, March 24th- 1715-2015 hrs. @ UCPD Public Safety Building

Thursday, March 26th- 1715-2015 hrs.

Tuesday, March 31st- 1715-2015 hrs. 

Thursday, April 2nd- 1715-2015 hrs.
